Difference between coding and thermal transfer? |
Coding is a hot stamping process with metal die. |
| What quality for what material? |
Needs to be determined initially by printing tests. |
|
Can we use a coding foil for a TTR printer? |
No, because a back coating of the foil is necessary for thermal transfer. For TTR printer you need a termal transfer ribbon. A coding foil is applied by means of hot stamping. |
| How long can I store the ribbons? |
- Storage: 12 months
- Storage temperature: 10-35°C
- Relative humidity: 40-60%
- no direct sun exposure
-
Foil must not be pressed |
|
Which surfaces have to be printed well in the Coding? |
Packing materials, like folding boxes, bags made of synthetic material, paper and synthetic material etiquettes. |
